Resources for short drama, film and AI video makers
A hand-picked directory of things you can use while making short dramas, films and AI video. It starts with agent skills for Claude Code and Codex. Other kinds of resources, such as prompt guides, may be added later.
Agent skills for film, short drama and AI video
A skill is a small folder of instructions that you install into a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex. The directory lists more than 180 of them for short drama, filmmaking and AI video, sorted by the stage of production they help with: screenwriting, storyboards, prompt writing, generation, editing, audio and full pipelines. Every entry names its author, says what the skill does, shows when its repo was last updated and links to the source on GitHub.

Lists kept elsewhere
These lists are maintained by other people on GitHub. They overlap with this directory in places and cover things it leaves out, such as prompt libraries and apps with no skills inside. Each link opens GitHub in a new tab.
- zhuyansen/awesome-claude-video-skillsOpens on GitHub in a new tabAwesome Claude Video SkillsAn index of open-source skills and toolkits that let coding agents make or edit video, grouped by type such as editing, shorts, avatars and motion graphics. Each repo carries a security grade from Agent Skills Hub, the site the list links to. The scope is wider than film and drama.373Updated Sep 2026

How we curate
The directory is deliberately narrow, so a skill has to meet a few plain rules to be listed. Here they are, along with what we do not do.
- 01In scope
- The entry is a real agent skill: a folder with a SKILL.md file, or a plugin that ships skills. It also has to be about short drama, filmmaking or AI video. General coding tools, prompt lists and standalone apps with no skills inside are left out of the directory.
- 02Updated in 2026
- The source repo has received a commit in 2026. Every entry shows the date of its last update, so you can see how recent it is.
- 03Stars or vendor
- The repo has at least 20 GitHub stars, or it is published by the company behind the tool or model the skill works with. Official on a card means the repo belongs to the team that makes that tool, model or product, not to an independent project that only uses it. Stars are a rough filter for abandoned experiments. They say nothing about how well a skill works.
- 04No duplicates
- Forks and copies are merged into the original repo. A repo that ships several skills gets one entry, marked as a pack, with its skills listed inside.
- 05Not audited, not hosted
- We have not security-audited these skills, and we do not host them. Every entry links to its source on GitHub. Read the SKILL.md and any scripts before you install, as you would with any code you did not write.
- 06A dated snapshot
- Stars, licenses and update dates were read from GitHub on the date shown on the page and do not refresh live. If you know a skill that fits, or one that has moved or disappeared, tell us through Contact.
Stars, licenses and last-push dates were read from GitHub on Oct 3, 2026.
Resources: frequently asked questions
Q.01What is in Resources?
Today, one category: the Skills directory, which lists agent skills for short drama, filmmaking and AI video, plus links to lists that other people maintain. We may add other categories later, such as prompt guides, but nothing beyond skills is published yet.
Q.02Do I need a Pencil0 account to use these?
No. Every entry links to GitHub, and you install skills into your own agent. Some skills need an API key or an account with a model vendor, and those costs and terms are the vendor's. Pencil0 is a separate product: it runs the script, assets, shots and final cut for you in the browser, with your confirmation at each stage. It is an invite-only beta right now. To see what it does, start with the AI short drama generator.
Q.03Does Pencil0 make or check these skills?
No. They are written and maintained by their own authors, and some come from the companies behind the video tools they drive. We choose which ones to list and describe them in our own words, but we have not audited them, so read a skill before you install it.
REEL END — 00:00:00:00
Rather not runyour own agent?
Pencil0 takes a story idea through script, assets and shots to a finished cut, one confirmed stage at a time. Invite-only beta.
