FAQ — Q&A
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Type a story idea and Pencil0 will produce a storyboard, character and scene references, and a short video for each shot. You preview and tweak each stage before moving on.
During the assets stage Pencil0 generates a reusable reference image per character and binds it to every shot that uses that character. The video model conditions on that reference, so faces, outfits, and overall look stay consistent.
Usage is billed in credits: script text is settled by actual tokens, about 2 credits for the first turn; GPT Image 2.5 Flare reference images at 1K cost 12 each (four-view scene sheets at 4K cost 32 each), and composition costs 2. Video costs depend on the model, resolution, duration and reference inputs. For example, MiniMax H3 at 768p costs 16 credits/sec, including reference video duration; the first 5 reference images per shot have no extra charge, then each image from number 6 costs 8 credits. Failed jobs automatically refund their credits.
Yes. Pencil0 parses uploaded PDF / DOCX / TXT scripts into the storyboard structure and picks up from the assets stage.
It depends on the shot count and resolution. For a typical 8–12 shot episode, the script and reference images usually finish in 3–8 minutes. Video generation is the long step: roughly 2–4 minutes per 720p shot and 4–8 minutes per 1080p shot, depending on queue load. Shots run in parallel and continue in the background even if you close the tab.
Per-shot videos export as 720p or 1080p MP4 (H.264 + AAC) and support 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, and 21:9 aspect ratios. The composed episode is also delivered as a downloadable MP4 — ready for Douyin, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, WeChat Channels, and other video distribution channels.
There are no free credits. Your first purchase can be a one-time trial pack: 1,000 credits for $2.99, enough to finish one complete short film with a few shots left to retake. The credits never expire. After that you can subscribe or buy credit packs.
Yes. As long as you follow our Terms of Service (no illegal, infringing, or misleading content), the scripts, reference images, and videos generated under your account are yours to keep and use for personal or commercial film distribution. We recommend disclosing AI-generated content per the regulations in your region when publishing.
A public API is not yet available — we plan to open it for team / MCN customers once the product stabilizes. If you have batch needs today, email [email protected] to be added to the early-access list. The web app already supports batch reference generation and queued shot generation, so a full episode can be kicked off in one action instead of clicking each shot.
Go to Settings → Security and use Delete Account. After a confirmation step, your account, projects, scripts, reference images, and videos are removed. If you need a tailored data request, email [email protected] and we'll help.
